Tax Credit

Part of stimulus bill includes tax credit available to the homeowners to make their home more energy efficient. Windows and doors are the one. You can receive 30% of cost up to $1500 maximum. The windows and doors must be installed by professional contractor.There are requirements tied to the tax credit. Windows must have U-factor and SHGC of 0.30 or less. A tax credit means immediate deduction from tax liability, unlike tax deduction.
